Montblanc Heritage Collection Rouge et Noir Solitaire Serpent Limited Edition 1906 Rollerball Pen (1239/1906)
Full set
Brand new
A highly distinctive and rare creation from Montblanc’s Heritage Collection, the Rouge et Noir Solitaire Serpent Rollerball Pen, created in 2017 and limited to 1906 pieces, reinterprets the Maison’s earliest designs from 1906 through a more expressive and sculptural lens. The pen is crafted in brushed platinum-coated metal, entirely engraved with flowing, interwoven snake motifs that give the surface a sense of movement, depth, and refinement far beyond a traditional writing instrument.
Its defining feature is the golden serpent clip — a finely sculpted element that wraps along the cap with remarkable precision. Detailed with engraved scales and subtle contouring, the serpent is more than decorative; it transforms the pen into an object of character and symbolism, reflecting themes of transformation and heritage that align with Montblanc’s early identity. Two Mozambique garnets (0,005 ct, eye clean brilliant cut) set as the eyes of the serpent crown this edition.
The cap is crowned with Montblanc’s emblem set within a coral-toned top, a direct reference to the “Rouge et Noir” name that marked the Maison’s origins. The rollerball writing system gives the pen a smooth and fluid writing experience, while the body is also compatible with Montblanc fineliner refills, offering added flexibility for different writing preferences.
As documented in the original booklet, this edition is limited to 1906 pieces worldwide — a direct tribute to the year of Montblanc’s founding — with each piece individually numbered, reinforcing its rarity and collectibility.
Preserved since 2018, this masterpiece is offered in brand-new condition, complete as a full set with its original Montblanc presentation box and stamped certificate booklet.
