Montblanc Bohème Pirouette Lilas Rollerball Pen (Ref. 103798)

The Montblanc Bohème Pirouette Lilas Rollerball Pen, reference 103798, is one of the more elaborate and unconventional interpretations of the Maison’s discontinued Bohème collection. Combining jewellery-inspired detailing with an unusually intricate surface treatment, the design moves far beyond the restrained aesthetic of the traditional Meisterstück and presents the writing instrument almost as an ornamental object.

The barrel is finished in translucent anthracite-coloured lacquer over a finely executed guilloché pattern of overlapping concentric circles, creating a subtle sense of depth that changes with the light. This motif continues across the highly decorative red-gold-plated cap, where polished surfaces are engraved with the same circular design. A synthetic lilac-coloured amethyst set into the clip provides the defining accent of the Pirouette Lilas edition, while the Montblanc emblem crowns the cap in the traditional manner.

Removing the cap reveals a black precious-resin forepart and rollerball writing mechanism, contrasting elegantly with the darker patterned barrel and warm red-gold-tone fittings. The combination of anthracite lacquer, sculptural metalwork and the purple stone gives the 103798 a particularly distinctive presence within the Bohème family and makes it immediately recognizable among Montblanc’s more conventional writing instruments.

This example presents in excellent overall condition, with only very minor signs of handling consistent with careful storage. It is accompanied by a genuine Montblanc Bohème presentation box, outer cover and Bohème documentation. For complete transparency, the accompanying presentation box was originally issued for a different Bohème model and has been paired with this pen as replacement packaging; it is not the original model-specific box for reference 103798.
