Hoffman Racing 40 “Navy” Chronograph

The Hoffman Racing 40 Navy is a modern interpretation of the classic motorsport chronographs of the 1960s, combining vintage racing proportions with contemporary materials and a particularly rich blue-and-steel colour palette. Released in 2025, the Navy joined Hoffman’s Racing 40 collection as one of the American independent brand’s more restrained executions, built around a deep navy dial framed by a polished tachymeter bezel.

The 40mm stainless-steel case combines brushed and polished surfaces and measures approximately 48mm lug-to-lug and 12mm thick. Its dual-layer dial pairs deep navy blue with darker contrasting registers, with the chronograph minute counter positioned at 9 o’clock and a 24-hour display at 3 o’clock. Applied markers, polished hands and the slim tachymeter scale reinforce the period racing aesthetic without making the watch feel overtly retro. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment protects the dial.

Inside is the Seiko VK64 mecha-quartz chronograph calibre, combining quartz timekeeping with a mechanically actuated chronograph mechanism. The central chronograph seconds hand sweeps at five beats per second and resets instantly, giving the stopwatch operation much of the tactile character associated with a mechanical chronograph. Water resistance is rated to 5 ATM / 50 metres.

This example is brand-new and unworn, preserved as a complete set with its original Hoffman presentation box, certificate and accompanying documentation. It is fitted to the original textured black strap and is additionally accompanied by a beige suede strap with Hoffman's butterfly buckle, giving the watch a second, warmer configuration while preserving the original set intact.
