The Hamilton Khaki Field Auto “The Odyssey” Limited Edition Ref. H70675530 is a special collaboration between Hamilton and filmmaker Christopher Nolan, created in connection with The Odyssey and conceived as a watchmaking interpretation of the film’s world rather than simply a conventional movie tie-in. Limited to 2,112 pieces worldwide, the edition draws directly from the mythology and visual language surrounding Odysseus, combining Hamilton’s established Khaki Field architecture with details inspired by the hero’s armour, weapons and journey. 

The watch is built around a 42mm bronze case, a particularly fitting material for a design rooted in the Bronze Age. The warm metal is designed to develop an individual patina over time, meaning each example will gradually acquire a character unique to its owner. Measuring approximately 10.9mm thick, the case is paired with a titanium caseback and offers 100 metres of water resistance, while a sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective treatment protects the dial. 

Its black dial is one of the defining elements of the edition. A dark vertically brushed surface is framed by a fine bronze-coloured decorative motif derived from details of Odysseus’ helmet, while a rivet-like element at 12 o’clock introduces another reference to ancient armour. The sharply formed hour and minute hands take their inspiration from swords, allowing the mythology to remain present in the watch without overwhelming the restrained Khaki Field design. Bronze-toned Hamilton branding and detailing complete the composition. 

Inside is Hamilton’s H-10 automatic calibre, a three-hand self-winding movement offering an extended 80-hour power reserve and equipped with a Nivachron balance spring for improved resistance to magnetic fields. The combination gives the piece the practicality expected of the Khaki Field collection despite the highly collectible nature of this particular edition. 

Turning the watch over reveals a specially engraved titanium caseback, decorated with imagery connected to Odysseus’ helmet together with Christopher Nolan’s signature. The watch is fitted to a brown grained leather strap with tonal stitching and a titanium pin buckle, complementing the developing tones of the bronze case. 

The number 2,112 is itself deliberate. Hamilton chose the production run as a reference to the recurring significance of the number twelve within The Odyssey, further tying the edition to the source material rather than treating the collaboration as purely cosmetic. 

The presentation is unusually elaborate. The watch is housed in a large black-and-bronze collector’s box whose design continues the visual language of the film. Alongside the watch sits a replica Athena pin, inspired by the pin given to Odysseus by Penelope in the film, together with a bronze-finished commemorative plaque bearing the Hamilton x The Odyssey branding and Christopher Nolan’s signature. The internal arrangement itself is conceived as a display, making the entire set an integral part of the edition rather than secondary packaging. 

This particular example is offered in brand-new, unworn condition, with its original factory protective stickers and films still extensively retained across the watch. It is accompanied by its complete original full set, including the special-edition presentation box, Athena pin, Christopher Nolan collaboration plaque, original outer packaging, warranty documentation, booklets, tags and accompanying Hamilton literature. The warranty is dated September 2026.

With its bronze construction, Christopher Nolan collaboration, highly considered cinematic presentation and production limited to only 2,112 examples, the Khaki Field Auto “The Odyssey” occupies an unusual position within Hamilton’s long relationship with cinema.
