Furlan Marri Mare Blu (Ref. 1051-A) Chronograph

The Mare Blu was part of Furlan Marri’s 2021 debut collection — one of the watches that introduced the Geneva-born brand to the world. Ref. 1051-A pairs a polished stainless-steel case with a vertically brushed dial in layered shades of deep blue. Applied Roman numerals at XII and VI, polished steel hands, twin subdials, and a five-respiration asthmometer scale give the composition the character of a vintage medical chronograph, interpreted with modern clarity.

At 38mm, the case sits with balanced proportions and quiet confidence on the wrist. The rounded “Tasti Tondi” pushers recall chronographs of the 1940s, while the screwed decagonal case back combines circular brushing, polished detailing, deep engraving, and an interior perlage finish — considered touches rarely encountered at this price tier. A sapphire crystal with anti-reflective and anti-fingerprint coatings completes the construction.

The Mare Blu runs on a Seiko VK64 mecha-quartz movement — a hybrid that combines quartz accuracy with a mechanical chronograph module. The result is a smoothly sweeping chronograph seconds hand, an instant reset, and the tactile character of a traditional analog chronograph with the precision and low maintenance of quartz.

The blue leather strap is 20mm at the lugs and finished with contrasting white stitching. The additional brown leather strap, detailed with brown stitching, gives the Mare Blu a second personality: darker, sharper, and more formal. Both are fitted with quick-release spring bars for effortless interchangeability.

Brand-new and never worn, with the protective sticker still applied to the case back, this watch comes as a full set including the outer shipping box, fabric presentation box, brown leather watch pouch, warranty card, brand booklet, polishing cloth, original blue leather strap, and additional brown leather strap.
