Cartier “Happy Birthday” Top-Handle Handbag in Burgundy Patent Leather

The Cartier “Happy Birthday” Top-Handle Handbag is a distinctive expression of the Maison’s leather-goods design, combining a highly structured silhouette with one of Cartier’s most recognizable monogram treatments. Crafted in deep burgundy patent leather, the exterior is embossed throughout with the interlocking Cartier double-C emblem in varying scales, creating a tonal pattern that becomes increasingly visible as light moves across the glossy surface.

The architectural top-handle construction is complemented by a broad front flap and an oversized oval double-C turn-lock closure, itself wrapped in matching burgundy leather. Inside, the bag is finished with Cartier’s burgundy monogram textile lining and features an internal zipped compartment with a Cartier-engraved metal pull. The combination of the rich Bordeaux palette, repeated emblem and restrained hardware gives the piece an unmistakably turn-of-the-century Cartier character while remaining considerably more unusual than the Maison’s better-known contemporary handbag lines.
